As Programming Director at Yiddishkayt, I presented Psoy Korolenko in a sold-out, standing room only show at Genghis Cohen on June 4th, 2011. His performance took the crowd on a journey through Yiddishlands real and imagined. Psoy is a lexicological prankster, comically switching between tongues and cheeks.

Yiddishkayt: Seriously Yiddish
JewishThis Sholem Aleichem flyer was distributed at our presentation of Sholem Aleichem: Laughing through the Darkness. The altered image of the author was inspired by Andy Warhol’s series “Ten Jews” and the text “If I were a Yiddishkaytnik” is an homage to Fiddler and Sholem Aleichem’s original prose (“If I were a Rothschild”).\
