Gratifly was the perfect excuse to travel back to the Carolinas in July to visit friends I made while living in Asheville at the end of 2013 and beginning of 2014. I knew about the important role that Asheville was playing in the Southern arts scene (see my article on the Alex & Allyson Grey Visionary Art Fair at LostinSound), but I was thrilled to learn more about important movements in Atlanta, Athens, and up into the Appalachians.
